The Ladies of Oak Lane represents the 12 Panhellenic chapters at Virginia Tech and their philanthropic efforts on and off campus. Whether it be through their own national philanthropy, a local cause, university event or other chapter's philanthropy, these women spend countless hours working to better the community. The Ladies of Oak Lane highlights some of the wonderful things the Panhellenic community does both individually and collectively.

Our Mission: To enhance the perception of the Panhellenic community by showcasing chapters' philanthropic efforts.

ADPi Preppy Olympics

This past Saturday, ADPi hosted our second annual spring philanthropy event, Preppy Olympics, which raises money for the Ronald McDonald House in Roanoke!

The event is held in the Oak Lane fishbowl, with teams competing in Crochet, Bocce Ball, Badminton and Polo. In the polo event, each organization has 2 horse and rider combinations. The two teams compete with polo mallets to hit a soccer ball through the opposing teams goal. It’s by far the most entertaining event!

So much preppy clothing!

Points were given based on placing in the four events, peppiest clothing, attendance and orders of koozies.

We’re thankful that we had beautiful weather on Saturday, and no events had to be cancelled. ADPi would like to congratulate and thank Colleen McNichol, our Lion’s Share Challenge Chair, for planning such a wonderful day of philanthropy.

Preppy Olympics grew exponentially compared to last year, when we started the event. This year 19 fraternities participated and we hope for it to grow even more next year!

On another note, we took another pledge class of four phenomenal women last week, and would like to congratulate Mary Daniel, Erin Steva, Natalia Castro and Paige Dulkarian! Welcome to the First and Finest ladies <>

ADPi is looking forward to a busy, yet fun rest of the semester! We’re participating in numerous philanthropy events for other fraternities and sororities. We’re also looking forward to our Black Diamond Ball, Golden Lion alumni celebration, parent’s weekend and sisterhood week!
